Use of the molding machine

The common use is to process a straight plane, but with some accessories, a wide range of work can be done. Other examples of its use are:

The keyway in the belt wheel or gear boss can be machined without special broaching equipment.

The dovetail slide

Internal splines and gear teeth.

The tool path type of the CAM drum in CNC milling terms requires either 4-axis or 5-axis contour machining or rotary milling cylindrical interpolation

In some cases, WEDM work can even be avoided. Starting with the drilled or coring hole, a molding machine with a boring rod-type tool can cut internal features that are not suitable for milling or drilling (such as irregularly shaped holes with tight corners).
